A good daypack holds everything you need from morning to evening, and nothing more. Water, snacks, an extra layer, your phone and keys, maybe a laptop for work. Our daypacks are made for short walks, full-day hikes, commuting and travel, with smart storage and a comfortable fit that stays steady on your back. Choose a compact sling bag for the essentials, a 15–18 litre backpack for everyday use and shorter walks, or a 30 litre pack for long days outdoors.
Why RevolutionRace daypacks?
Easy to pack, easy to find: Many styles open wide from the front, like a travel bag, so you can see everything inside. Top pockets, mesh side pockets and inner zip pockets keep your phone, keys and water bottle close at hand.
Comfort that lasts all day: Padded shoulder straps, chest straps and hip belts spread the weight evenly, and an internal frame on selected styles gives extra support for heavier loads. Ventilated back panels let air flow between you and the pack, so you stay cooler on long walks.
Ready for the weather: A water-repellent finish helps keep light rain out, and several styles come with a rain cover for heavy showers. Bungee cords on the outside hold a wet jacket, so it stays away from your dry things.
From trail to office: Padded laptop compartments, flat bottoms that let the pack stand upright and compact sizes make our daypacks just as useful for work, study and travel as for hiking.
Smart extras: Choose from hydration-compatible styles, gear loops and straps for poles or skis, a built-in safety whistle, or a phone pocket on the strap. Selected styles are made from recycled materials and are Bluesign® certified.
Frequently asked questions
A daypack is a small backpack made for trips of a few hours or a full day, not for overnight stays. Some people call it a day bag, a daysack or a small rucksack. It holds the things you need for the day, such as water, food, an extra layer and your valuables, without the size and weight of a large hiking backpack.
It depends on how long you’ll be out and what you carry. A sling bag of around 4 litres holds the basics, like your phone, keys and wallet. A 15–20 litre daypack is a good size for shorter walks, commuting and city trips, with room for a water bottle, a snack and a light jacket. A 30 litre daypack gives you space for a full day outdoors, with extra layers, more food and water, or a laptop and a change of clothes for travel. In colder seasons, you may want a little more space for warm layers. Choose the size that fits the trips you do most often. A pack that is too big tends to get overfilled and heavy, and a half-empty pack can feel unstable.
Adjust the shoulder straps so the pack sits close to your back, with the top just below your shoulders. Close the chest strap to keep the straps in place. If your pack has a hip belt, use it to move some of the weight from your shoulders to your hips. This makes the biggest difference when the pack is heavier. On larger packs, the straps at the top of the shoulders pull the load closer to your body, and an internal frame helps support heavier loads. A well-adjusted pack feels stable and doesn’t swing when you walk.
